CPA Roadshow visits St Thomas More High School in Southend, United Kingdom    

Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, Mr Akbar Khan, CPA Secretary-General and Ms Meenakshi Dhar, CPA Director of Programmes have visited St Thomas More High School in the United Kingdom as part of the CPA Roadshows touring the Commonwealth to help to increase young people’s awareness of parliament and democracy. CPA Secretary-General brings CPA Roadshows to young people on the Isle of Man

Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) speaks to young people in Scotland about importance of the Commonwealth ‘post-Brexit’ during CPA Roadshows during Commonwealth week

CPA Secretary-General delivers lecture to university students at Rome Law School

CPA Roadshow highlights youth political participation to university students in Malaysia

Youth engagement is the key to increased political participation says Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Secretary-General during CPA Roadshow with students in Singapore  

The CPA Secretary-General brought the CPA Roadshows to Singapore during his visit with a lively workshop with over 50 students at the independent Anglo-Chinese School in Singapore where he spoke about the importance of the Commonwealth and of parliamentary democracy to the students aged from 13 to 15 years old. Youth engagement in Australia as Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Roadshow visits college students in Darwin   

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) has brought its youth engagement programme to Australia with a CPA Roadshow visit to Taminmin College, a school in Darwin, Northern Territory. The CPA Roadshows highlight the importance of encouraging youth engagement in the political process and the sharing of Commonwealth political values, especially with the 60% of the 2.4 billion population of the Commonwealth who are aged under 30. Please click here to read the news story

CPA Chairperson highlights the role of the Opposition as important for strengthening parliamentary democracy at CPA Roadshow for young people in Bangladesh    

The CPA President and Chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Executive Committee, Hon. Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh has highlighted the role of the Opposition and the Treasury bench as important for strengthening parliamentary democracy at CPA Roadshow for young people in Bangladesh. Commonwealth Parliamentary Association bring CPA Roadshow for young people to Turks and Caicos     

The Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), Mr Akbar Khan has led a delegation of experts in the promotion of youth engagement with schools in the CPA’s Caribbean, Americas and Atlantic Region. The CPA Roadshow for over 150 young people was held at the Helena Jones Robinson High School Auditorium in Turks and Caicos as part of the CPA Roadshows tour of Commonwealth schools and universities. The CPA Secretary-General was accompanied on the CPA Roadshow by the Hon. Dwayne S. Taylor, MHA, Speaker of the House of Assembly of Turks and Caicos; Hon. Sharlene L.
