Overview

The 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) will be hosted by the Parliament of South Africa and the CPA South Africa Branch in Cape Town, South Africa from 13 to 19 September 2026. 

The 69th CPC will be held under the main theme of 'Strengthening International Law and Parliamentary Democracy in a Changing World Order: Commonwealth Leadership'.  

During the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, there will also be a number of additional conferences and meetings including:

• 2026 CPA General Assembly and general debate
• meetings of the CPA Executive Committee
• CPC Workshops
• 42nd CPA Small Branches Conference
• 10th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference
• meetings of the Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disabilities (CPwD) network
• 60th Society of Clerks at the Table (SoCATT) meeting
• presentation of the 2026 Commonwealth Parliamentarian of the Year awards and the inaugural Green Mace Initiative certificates 
• the 4th Emilia Monjowa Lifaka Lecture.

Invitations, Nominations and Registration 

• Invitations to the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference have been issued to all eligible CPA Branches from the CPA President on behalf of the host Branch, CPA South Africa.
• Nominations are now taking place and CPA Branches are invited to complete the online Nomination Form for their delegations attending the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference.
• Once you have completed the Nomination Form, your delegation will be sent a link to the Registration Form in advance of the Conference.
