10th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference - 69th CPC

The Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) is the network of women Members of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s Parliaments and Legislatures. The network's mission is to promote the representation of women in CPA Branches and women's full and equal participation in all political and parliamentary leadership at all levels.

The 10th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference will bring together female and male Members of Parliament in the Commonwealth to discuss equal representation in Parliaments through a series of workshops and governance meetings.

The CWP Conference will include the meeting of the CWP Steering Committee and consists of:

  • Four learning and development workshops for Members of Parliament (see below)
  • A CWP Business Meeting including a Host Branch Open Debate Session

The Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference was previously triennial (every three years) but in 2023, CWP Members agreed to hold an annual CWP Conference.

The main theme of the 10th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference is: 'Making Gender Sensitivity an Institutional Mandate: Ethics, accountability and structural change'.

The 10th CWP Conference will take place from 14 to 15 September 2026 in the margins of the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in South Africa (13 to 18 September 2026).
