COVID-19 Notice

By registering for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (“CPC”) being held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada from August 20^th to 26^th, 2022 (the “Event”), I agree that it is my responsibility to be familiar with and follow all relevant federal, provincial and municipal regulations, public health orders and guidance relating to COVID-19 (collectively, “Regulations”). To this end, I will carefully review and, during the Event and all Event-related activities, comply with all applicable Regulations, including but not limited to, any specific local COVID-19 regulations identified in the links below, and any other protocols that may be implemented by the CPC or the conference venue.

I acknowledge that the CPC, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, including the Canadian Region, and the Parliament of Canada, cannot guarantee that I or other attendees will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19 while attending the Event, and that by attending I may be exposed to or increasing my risk of contracting and/or spreading COVID-19.

I further understand that the CPC will continue to monitor conditions related to COVID-19 between now and the Event and that the CPC reserves the right to modify its COVID-19 related procedures and health screening protocols in its sole discretion at any time. Attendees will be informed of any such changes on an ongoing basis. As a condition of attendance and participation, I agree to follow the protocols as required by the CPC and/or the conference venue. Any refusal by an attendee to abide by the CPC’s COVID-19 procedures may result in removal from the conference and cancellation of their registration, without refund.

By checking the box below, I understand and agree that the safety of everyone involved in the Event depends on my being aware of and adhering to the Regulations, and that neither the CPC nor the conference venue is responsible for informing me of such Regulations or for any consequences of my non-compliance with the same or for my contracting of COVID-19. Moreover, I acknowledge and understand that the CPC will not be in any way responsible for any financial consequences of my having contracted COVID-19 while at the Event, including in relation to a requirement to self-isolate or any treatment I may require while in Canada, and that all attendees are advised to arrange for adequate travel insurance to cover any such eventualities.
