Date: 8 March 2025

International Women's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is a day when women are recognised for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

The CPA will be celebrating International Women's Day through several online campaigns recognising the achievements of women in Parliaments across the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) network will be leading the celebrations across the CPA membership.

  • The UN theme for International Women's Day 2025 is 'For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment'. To find out more about the UN's activities click here.
