Target audience: This Conference is open to all Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff who are interested in engaging with these critical topics.
Overview
The Parliament of Malaysia, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will be holding a Conference on ‘The Role of Parliament in Shaping the Future of Responsible AI’, to be held from 28 to 30 November 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The three-day programme is expected to bring together Parliamentarians and parliamentary staff from across the globe and will feature a dynamic two-track programme, designed to address the most pressing issues at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and legislative governance:
- Track 1: AI Policy-Making: Focussing on the legislative and oversight role of Parliaments and the broader societal dimensions of AI development.
- Track 2: AI in Parliaments: Focussing on the internal governance, strategy, and practical applications of AI within parliamentary processes.
We look forward to welcoming delegates to Kuala Lumpur for what promises to be a timely and insightful Conference.
Invite & Registration
- Before completing the registration form, please ensure you have read the official invitation and Conference concept note.
- The deadline for registrations is 11 October 2025.
- The maximum number of participants per Parliament is three people. Parliamentarians and Parliamentary staff from CPA and IPU Parliaments will be eligible to attend.
- Parliaments are requested to coordinate the nomination of their delegation through the usual authorities, such as the Office of the Speaker, the CPA Branch or the IPU Group.
