
Singapore Parliament hosts CPA South-East Asia Regional Clerks' Conference
The Parliament of Singapore and the Parliament of Malaysia jointly organised the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) South-East Asia Regional Clerks' Conference on 10 July 2025 held in Singapore.
Parliamentary Clerks and officials from the Malaysia Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies as well as the Parliament of Singapore gathered to exchange ideas, best practices and experiences in parliamentary proceedings and administrative procedures.
Participants shared insights on Select Committees, digitalisation initiatives and recent legislative amendments impacting Parliaments.
Delegates were also welcomed by the Singapore Deputy Speaker, Hon. Christopher de Souza, MP.
The CPA South-East Asia Region comprises the fourteen Legislatures of Malaysia (both national and subnational), with the Parliament of Singapore making up the fifteenth Branch of the Region.
